FAQ's

Our water sits consistently at pH 8.0 however as a natural product this can fluctuate on occasion between 7.8 – 8.2. The pH scale ranges from 0 which is the most acidic, 7 being neutral, all the way to 14 which is the most alkaline (or basic). The body works best when slightly alkaline between 7.35 – 7.45. Our busy lifestyles with stress, lack of sleep and consuming processed foods and beverages can cause the body to become acidic, often leading to health issues. That’s why it’s important to balance this out with a healthy diet and lifestyle with alkaline foods and beverages to replenish and rebalance your body to perform at its best. Some examples include leafy greens, citrus fruits, and alkaline water. Just as being too acidic is a bad thing, consuming water with an unnaturally high pH does little to balance your body back to its optimal range.

We do not add anything to or enhance our water in any way and this includes fluoride. There is a very small amount of naturally occurring fluoride in the water, it is less than 0.05 parts per million which the labs deem as undetectable.

Yes all of our bottles are BPA free. They are also BHA, BHT, BPS and free from Phtalates. Our bottles are made from 100% recycled materials (ocean bound) and are 100% recyclable.

Yes, the water comes from a deep underground aquifer, 680 ft directly below our bottling facility in Paeroa, New Zealand. The aquifer is encased by volcanic rock and sandstone which not only infuses the rock minerals into the water but also protects the water from surface pollution or man-made contaminants. The water has been carbon dated at 50, 000 years old and rises to the surface under its own natural pressure, without the need for mechanical pumps or machinery. This is the true definition of an artesian source which sets us apart from other spring or surface water sources.

No - "artesian" explains the type of water source we use. Spring water for example is naturally occurring underground water that can surface through cracks in the rocks or soil, forming creeks, streams and rivers. To bottle spring water companies either use machines to pump the water from the underground spring or collect it from the surface water. Artesian water is also a type of naturally occurring water, but it is sourced from a deep underground aquifer completely enclosed by rock. The pressure created within the confined aquifer causes the water to rise naturally to the surface without the need for any pumps. Because the aquifer is surrounded by rocks, artesian water is generally protected from man-made contaminants and pollution that can affect surface water or spring sources and the rocks infuse hydrating minerals into the water. Artesian water is often prized for its purity and taste and is considered a premium type of bottled water.
