YOU CAN'T POUR FROM AN EMPTY CUP
Given the last few years many of us have been struggling with stress, anxiety, or feelings of uncertainty. From dealing with a pandemic, job and economic unpredictability, not to mention the rising cost of living which can take its toll. Here at 1907 water, we believe that mental health is just as important as our emphasis on physical health and hydration because life is all about finding balance. Taking care of your mental health is a journey, not a destination, and taking steps every day to improve your overall wellbeing is essential.
Here are some tips for improving your mental health:
Practice self-care:
Self-care means taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental needs. This can include getting adequate sleep each night, drinking enough of a high-quality water, taking a long bath, perhaps a walk in nature or engaging in activities that you enjoy.
Connecting with others:
Practice mindfulness:
Set realistic goals:
Seek professional help:
During difficult times, it's especially important to take care of ourselves and prioritize our mental health. Even if we only have a few minutes to spare each day. As we mentioned journaling is a great way to cultivate a sense of gratitude and improve our overall well-being. Writing down our thoughts and feelings can help us process our emotions and gain perspective on our lives. Journalling can also help us set intentions, track our progress, and identify areas for growth. When we practice gratitude, we intentionally focus on the things we are thankful for, big or small. This can be as simple as appreciating a beautiful sunset or a delicious meal, or as profound as being grateful for our health, our loved ones, or our job. Gratitude is a powerful tool that can help us shift our focus from the negative aspects of our lives to the positive ones.
That's why we're excited to introduce our 5-minute daily gratitude journal. The journal was created by our 1907 team and features cover art inspired by our new still and sparkling water labels, commissioned by New Zealand artist FLOX. The compact size and portable design make it easy to use on-the-go or at home. It's a small investment in yourself that can have big rewards, not to mention a beautiful gift idea for friends and family.
If you're not ready to purchase this journal here you can create one yourself at home using our guided prompts below:
- Take 1 minute of breath work
- List 4 tasks you'd like to achieve in the next 24 hours
